Interests
Don't know about the dee-luxe apartment in the sky (that always sounded like a euphemism for death to me!) Just to another account on DA, but I hope all my new DA friends will take note and stay in touch!

Because I have had indications recently that someone has appropriated my name as fullmetalfemme, I  have decided to leave it behind and adopt a new name. Since I am still relatively new, only registered on a few writers' sites, and have yet to post any of my works, this seems like the time to do it, especially since I hope to post my first fanfiction story (or maybe two or three?) in the next  month or so.

DA will not let you change the name on existing account so I have had to create new a new one with the new name - I will let the old one stay for a transitional period and cancel it at some point, as soon as possible.

My new name, with props to my beloved Saiyuki character :worship: who allows me to use her image as my avatar, is helliongoddess, and my new email is hellion_goddess@yahoo.com.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for how kind, welcoming, and supportive you have all been to me as I have stumbled and fumbled my way into this wonderful new world online of Anime and Fanfiction. I cannot tell you how much enjoyment it has given me so far and how much difference having this new interest, not to mention the great new friends I have made, has made in my life.  What an amazing surprise, at my age, and having a 27-year-old daughter,  to become so completely involved in something like this. I am having one helluva lot of fun, and I truly learn something new every day, which I truly believe are both among the secrets of staying both healthy and young in one's later years.                               :balloons:

So my deepest gratitude to all of you for helping make it possible, because I truly couldn't have made it this far without you, and I look forward to getting to know all of you so much more in the future.

Warmly,

Quote for the day-
(one of my all-time faves)

"The best thing for being sad is to learn something. That is the only thing that never fails...you may see the world around you devastated by lunatics; or know your honor trampled in the sewers of baser minds. There is only one thing for you then - to learn... the only thing which the mind can never exhaust, never alienate, never be tortured by, never fear or mistrust, and never dream of regretting. Learning is the thing for you."

It is no big effort to recognize and acknowledge talent, especially when it comes from such a nice person. But it's always nice to be thanked, and you are most welcome.

Have you been to the website of The Daily Kos yet?
And thanks for yet another fave! I enjoy the support.

Yup - I am not on their e-mailing list yet but I am on impeach-bush.com, keith olberman (one of my few remaining heroes), and a bunch of others. I'm just not destined to be a blogger, I'm afraid. I get too emotional.

the daily kos has an impressive list of diarists (they are too refined to be mere "bloggers"). I haven't published a diary yet because I don't know what to write about.
